2024 PCF Food Concessions Application

Thank you so much for your interest in participating the Placer County Fair.

Included below is some crucial information about being apart of our event; please take the time to read carefully and understand fully before applying.

The Fair hours are Thursday-Friday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. (vendor hall closes at 10 p.m. Thursday + Friday) and Saturday-Sunday from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Completion Requirements:

1. Photos of your products being sold and your intended booth setup (this could also be a sketch of your booth for first time vendors).
2. Two (2) references from previous events.
3. California Seller’s Permit or CA Board of Equalization 410D Form.
4. Proof of Insurance or opt to purchase through @the Grounds.
5. Application deposit totaling 50% of your minimum guarantee.

Please Note: Each employee must have a California Food Handlers Card or Serve Safe Certificate readily available during their shift.
Deposit: Food concessions vendors are required to turn in a deposit totaling 50% of their minimum guarantee with this application. Applications will not be considered complete until this deposit has been paid. This payment is refundable until May 20, 2024. Applications placed and approved after May 20, 2024 will require total amount due and will not be eligible for a refund.

Customer Contact Info

All vendors must provide a phone number and/or email on this application for inquiring fairgoers. This information may be given out to customers or clients if requested from the Placer County Fair.

Applicable Fees Check Off

Please Note: The cost to guarantee a spot for a concessions stand at this year's Placer County Fair is $500. 25% of your gross sales beyond $500 will be due at the conclusion of the Fair. Your minimum guarantee and any applicable fees (electricity, insurance, etc.) is due prior to May 20, 2024 or upon acceptance into the Fair if application is placed after this date.

Booth Location

If a contract is issued, the location of your stand will be determined by Fair Management. Every attempt will be made to place vendors in a location most favorable for their products.

Placer County Health Permit

All food vendors sampling or selling consumable goods of any kind must have a Placer County Temporary Food Facility Health Permit issued by the Placer County Health Department.

Please visit https://www.placer.ca.gov/3418/Food-Vendor-Details for more information regarding obtaining this permit. Once you have received your Temporary Food Facility Permit for the Placer County Fair, it must be sent to Fair Management to have on file.

California Seller’s Permit

A valid California Seller’s Permit must be submitted to the Placer County Fair no later than May 20, 2024.
CA Seller’s Permit

General Liability Insurance

Each booth must provide proof of no less than $1 million general liability insurance. The name of the insured business must match the business name on your application.

Please check the form of insurance you will provide no later than May 20, 2024 for the Placer County Fair.
Your insurance certificate must include the following Certificate Holder AND additionally insured statement:

Additionally Insured Statement:
“@the Grounds, Placer Valley Sports Complex, Placer Valley Tourism, The County of Placer, it’s officers, agents, employees, and volunteers are to be covered as insured for all liability arising out of the operations by on or on behalf of the named insured in the performance of this Agreement.”

(Please attach a copy of your insurance certificate to this application or submit it no later than May 20, 2024 if you have chosen to use your own carrier. If you have not turned in an acceptable insurance certificate by the due date, a charge for insurance through @the Grounds will be applied to your overall total.)
If obtaining your own insurance, please attach it to this application or submit before May 20, 2024.

RV Parking

If you are in need of RV parking for the Placer County Fair, please complete the RV parking request form and submit separately. RV parking is extremely limited.

When submitting this application, the applicant understands that rates are subject to change, and any pricing provided here is not guaranteed. Applicant also understands this application is not a guarantee of space at the Placer County Fair and space is not final until all applicable payments and documents have been provided and a contract is signed by both the vendor and the Placer County Far.
Terms and Conditions
The 2024 Placer County Fair takes place on Thursday, June 20 - Sunday, June 23, 2024. This is a limited four-day event that requires all booths to be open and manned for the duration of the Fair. Please consider these requirements before submitting an application. Thank you. - Fair Management
